Episode 1- "Fall of the Brave"

This episode deals with the aftermath of the dominion war and Commander Penn realisation that he feels guilty for the death of his wife while she was in san fransisco after an argument that they had before he left. We see him aboard the USS Archemedes at the Battle of Chin'toka and its subsequent destruction at the hands of the Breen. Penn is adamant that he will leave starfleet as its caused the deaths of those close to him; Admiral Cole persuades Penn to take an assignment as Queensferry Yards, promising him that it will be 'an easy one'. Its here that he oversees the construction of the USS Denares and the realisation that he cannot resist the call of the stars.

Episode 2 "Count by the numbers"

Commander Penn takes the freshly constructed USS Denares into A3109 to locate the missing federation science vessel, but all that remains is debris and the burnt bodies of the crew. A deadly race only know as the Akarians reside within the nebula and will stop at nothing to obliterate any outsiders; a fire fight begins between the Denares and a Akarian vessel who's firepower is superior leaving the Denares outgunned.

Episode 3 "Home too Late"-

This episode is a continuation of Episode 2

Penn has been captured by the aliens that exist within A3019 Nebula and is subjected to mind torture; he is made to relive the deaths of his wife, his mother and his former captain. Penn cannot distinguish nightmare from reality and his attempts to save them from death fail.
