High above earth the U.S.S Denares is being constructed, overseen by Commander John Penn who is dealing with the death of his wife Nichola who died at the hands of the Breen and the death of his previous commanding officer at the battle of chintoka. He must overcome the guilt that he feels and take the Denares and a inexperienced crew to A-3019 and find out what happened to the science vessel, but what awaits them is a horror that will consume their very fears.
